Course 129: ROVing the Ocean
(Remotely Operated Vehicle) Scuba diving is great, but when it's too dangerous or too expensive to send people to work underwater, bring on the ROV. This class is all about the ROV experience. Find out what it's like to pilot a real ROV on an underwater mission. From conception, design, to construction you are the boss and you will test your own design solutions for dealing with pressure, propulsion, and buoyancy. The class ends with an ROV underwater challenge where you will compete with other campers to see whose underwater vehicle is the best of the best! 1 Class Period. |
